Vlad the Impaler (2018), originally titled Deliler, is a Turkish historical action film directed by Osman Kaya. The film is set in the 15th century during the reign of the Ottoman Empire and tells the story of a group of elite Ottoman warriors, known as the Delilers or “The Madmen”, who are on a dangerous mission: to confront Vlad the Impaler, the notorious ruler of Wallachia.

Vlad, played by Erkan Petekkaya, is depicted as a cruel and ruthless leader who has earned a fearsome reputation for his brutal methods, which include impaling his enemies. The Ottoman Sultan Mehmet II (played by Cem Uçan) sends seven elite soldiers from the Deliler unit, led by Akinci Bey Gokkurt, to stop Vlad’s reign of terror and put an end to his brutal practices.

The film combines elements of historical drama and action, showcasing intense battle sequences, dramatic confrontations and the personal sacrifices of warriors.
