The Revenant is an intense, survival-driven drama based on true events. Set in the 1820s, the film follows frontiersman Hugh Glass (Leonardo DiCaprio), who is left for dead after being severely wounded by a bear during a fur-trading expedition. Betrayed and abandoned by his companions, including his ally John Fitzgerald (Tom Hardy), Glass must summon all his strength, resilience, and will to survive as he embarks on a relentless quest for revenge.

Faced with harsh wilderness, freezing temperatures, and life-threatening obstacles, Glass navigates the untamed landscape with only his survival instincts guiding him. As he pushes through physical and emotional pain, the film highlights his struggle to stay alive, reclaim his dignity, and ultimately find justice for the betrayal he suffered.

Directed by Alejandro González Iñárritu, The Revenant is known for its breathtaking cinematography, visceral performances, and immersive storytelling. DiCaprio’s powerful portrayal of Glass earned him his first Academy Award for Best Actor, cementing the film as a cinematic masterpiece.
