The Electric State 2 (2025) – Chris Pratt, Millie Bobby Brown
Set in the haunting, dystopian world of The Electric State, the sequel follows Michelle (Millie Bobby Brown) as she continues her journey through the crumbling remnants of a once-thriving futuristic society. With her trusted robot companion Skip and new ally Carter (Chris Pratt), she searches for the last remnants of human civilization while uncovering deeper secrets about the war that devastated the world.
The film picks up where the first movie left off—Michelle and Skip have reached the outskirts of a rumored human settlement. However, their hope is short-lived when they realize the settlement has been overrun by rogue machines that have turned hostile after years of malfunctioning AI systems. Carter, a former engineer with knowledge of the old technology, saves them from an ambush and reveals that the war wasn’t just about resources—it was about controlling an experimental AI network that could either restore or completely destroy what remains of human society.
Together, they set out on a dangerous journey to find the last operational data hub, which Carter believes holds the key to shutting down the rogue machines. Along the way, they encounter scavengers, resistance fighters, and even remnants of the opposing faction that started the war. Michelle struggles with memories of her brother, questioning whether humanity is worth saving after witnessing so much destruction.
