The Electric State
The Electric State is a sci-fi film directed by Anthony and Joe Russo, based on the graphic novel of the same name by Simon Stålenhag. Set in a dystopian future America, the film explores a world where advanced technology coexists with decay and desolation. The journey of a young girl and her loyal robot companion takes viewers into a visually stunning yet hauntingly mysterious world, filled with both nostalgia and danger.
The story follows Michelle (played by Millie Bobby Brown), a teenage girl who embarks on a quest to find her lost brother. Accompanied by a strange yet friendly robot and a drifter (Chris Pratt), she travels through a crumbling America, where remnants of an unknown war and abandoned battle drones hint at a forgotten past. As Michelle uncovers hidden truths, she realizes that her journey is tied to a much larger and more sinister conspiracy.
