Excellence Recognized: Known for her sharp attention to detail and hard work, Sgt. Rosario was recognized as “Gator of the Week” by Task Force 51/5th Marine Expeditionary Brigade during her deployment.

Volunteering in Times of Crisis: When the emergency evacuation at Hamid Karzai International Airport in Kabul, Afghanistan, began, Sgt. Rosario volunteered to join a Female Engagement Team to screen and ᴀssist evacuating women and children.

The Ultimate Sacrifice: On August 26, 2021, at just 25 years old, she was killed by a suicide bomb attack at the airport’s Abbey Gate while courageously helping civilians. Her final words before stepping up to help were, “They need me, sir.”
