Nearing Death (2024) is an Indonesian horror film that follows Sekar, a single mother struggling to support her three children. She runs a small food stall but faces an eerie problem—her food keeps rotting unnaturally fast. Seeking help, she visits Mak Ambar, a shaman who had previously blessed her business, only to discover that the woman has died. Soon after, Sekar becomes possessed every night by a vengeful spirit demanding her life. Her children desperately try to save her, uncovering dark secrets that could cost them their own lives. As supernatural terror intensifies, the family must find a way to break the curse before it’s too late.
