Plot Summary:

In Cargo (2017), set in a post-apocalyptic Australia, the world is ravaged by a deadly virus that turns its victims into violent, zombie-like creatures. The story follows Andy (Martin Freeman), a father desperately trying to protect his infant daughter from the horrors of the outbreak. Determined to give his daughter a chance at survival, Andy embarks on a heart-wrenching journey across the desolate wasteland. Along the way, he encounters survivors who are just as dangerous as the infected, and forms an unlikely alliance with a young girl named Thoomi (Simone Landers), who is trying to save her father from the same fate. As the virus slowly takes hold, Andy’s struggle becomes not just about surviving, but about ensuring his daughter’s future in a world where hope seems to have all but vanished.
